I rented this book from Amazon for a college class in Small Group Communication. First, the Amazon rental program is AMAZING!!! Secondly, I really enjoyed this book. I have been a full time project manager in a large corporation for approximately 8 years. This book really gave insight to the small group dynamics and how they affect communication. I have to return this copy but will be purchasing my own as part of my personal library.

Just five years as president of a country as small as Uruguay have been enough to turn Jos� Mujica into a respected figure around the world: a different sort of politician who represents a different way of practicing politics and power, closer to the people and to common sense. Because as Mujica says, “politicians have to live like the majority, not the minority.”

Mujica, who has always felt himself a black sheep, and who spent more than 13 years in prison for his political militancy, explains his rise to power, the conflicts with his liturgy and protocol, his meetings with people like Obama, Fidel Castro, Putin, Ch�vez, and Cristina Fern�ndez de Kirchner, and the loneliness of sometimes feeling in a foreign world.

Resistance Is Futile... From this time forward, you will color in this book

[[VIDEOID:ea8085c8b38ad2edc743b9f6dfab8235]]What fun to have a well done Star Trek The Next Generation coloring book. I noticed that it seems to stop mid-series, so perhaps there will be another book in the future.

There are 45 designs in the coloring book and are done by a team of illustrators (Juann Cabal, Gabriel Guzman, Daniel Maine, Stefano Martino, and Bill Mudron.) I found that their styles meshed well together and the continuity of the designs was well done throughout the book.

The designs are mostly spot-on character scenes from various episodes and it was great fun to remember which one was which. I've started re-watching the series because of the coloring book as it reminded me how much I enjoy the series.

The designs are detailed but not what I would call intricate though there are parts of designs which have small areas to color. The designs are printed on one side of the page with the episode/quote on the opposite facing page. There are only a couple of things that would have made this book even better for me – more scenes in space and designs that stopped short of the binding. On the whole, I am really liking these designs.

This is what I found while coloring in this coloring book and testing the paper with my coloring mediums.

Love it!

This adult coloring book is so well designed! There are chronological illustrations for nearly every episode of TNG seasons 1-3 with fun quotes from each episode on the facing page. It's like taking a trip through every moving, suspenseful, quirky and fantastic moment from the first half of the series. And the illustrations are really quite detailed and beautiful. I hope we get to see a second volume that captures moments from seasons 4-7 at some point! I really love this book and I'm definitely buying copies of this for all my Trekker friends.

Great Quality images and paper! A must for any Trekker that wants to color.

The pictures are great and remind you immediately of episodes, in fact the two I first did, I was able to look up the episode and find the same shot to get color pallets and such. The paper is thicker than most similar books and really does nicely with both gel pens and colored pencils, so seep or transfer of color to the back. The only minor criticism is that scenes that are drawn sometimes aren't in the correct uniform for the episode, which is odd, but they look great and you wouldn't really know unless you looked.

About the Author

Chava Frankfort-Nachmias is an Emeritus Professor of Sociology at the University of Wisconsin–Milwaukee. She is the coauthor of Research Methods in the Social Sciences (with David Nachmias),�coeditor of Sappho in the Holy Land (with Erella Shadmi) and numerous publications on ethnicity�and development, urban revitalization, science and gender, and women in Israel. She was the�recipient of the University of Wisconsin System teaching improvement grant on integrating race,�ethnicity, and gender into the social statistics and research methods curriculum. She is also the�coauthor (with Anna Leon-Guerrero) of Social Statistics for a Diverse Society.

Anna Leon-Guerrero is a professor of sociology at Pacific Lutheran University in Tacoma, Washington. A recipient of the university’s Faculty Excellence Award and the K. T. Tang Award for Excellence in Research, she teaches courses on statistics, sociological theory, and social problems. As a social service program evaluator and consultant, she has focused her research on welfare reform, employment strategies for the working poor, and program assessment. She is the coauthor of Social Statistics for a Diverse Society and Essentials of Social Statistics for a Diverse Society (with Chava Frankfort-Nachmias).

As painless a textbook as you could expect from such a horrible (yet required) class.

This book takes a VERY painful subject and boils it down into understandable bits that are much easier to swallow than you would expect from a statistics textbook.
I've taken dense math classes before - and had terrible books that treat the material as dense and incomprehensible (which makes the class even worse, obviously).
This book, however, approaches the dense and incomprehensible material in a way that shows they understand how horrible the material is for most students who are being required to take a statistics class. They boil the stuff down so you actually get the concepts instead of just cramming into your head insane statistics formulas that look like something you need a 205 IQ to understand. You still need the formulas, but you walk away understanding why. A hint for students - put the formulas into an excel spreadsheet so you don't need to memorize them, and then hope you have a professor who encourages you to do so so you can use Excel when you take your tests.

Book is required for my SOC 345. Really easy to understand and followed through. I enjoy the pratice exercises in the book, even though they aren't reqiuired for class, it helps me getting a better understanding of the material. Also it help refreshes my mind, since I can go back and see what I have done.

Nothing bad to say. Needed it and its helping me move along smoothly in my class.

Have had this book over 2 weeks. Renting this book because I need it for a class, but I really do love it! The way the author explains everything makes it very easy to read. The author also gives very relatable examples for each topic, which helps me get a better understanding about what they are talking about. Have no complaints about this book.

Very handy

I wish I had this book when I started my doctoral program! The author has done a great job compiling different theories as well as the major constructs and references. He doesn't go into too much detail about any given theory, but gives just enough information to get the general idea and then points you in the right direction to get more information if you want it. Very handy to have around my office.
