Guide to help you prepare for the CMC Exam

This is a great guide to help you prepare for the CMC Exam. It's a very complete guide so much so that there's nothing on the test that you will not find in this guide. The included practice test allows you keep track of your progress and the secret tips provide you with a little extra edge over your peers, especially when it comes to getting the most out of the practice tests and overcoming anxiety. Each subject has a detailed overview to make sure you're as prepared as possible for the test. It is clearly written and easy to understand which makes it a great study tool.

This book held good general cardiac information however it was not specific to the test plan. It was a beneficial read and will benefit my practice in the long run. However I suggest multiple sources when preparing for the CMC including aligning your study to the test plan.

IF you want to do well on this test, you really need this study guide. Sure, you could probably do well without it, but it would take you a lot more time and effort. You see, this guide has all of the information you need in order to do well on the test. It has the material you need to study and review lined up and organized into sections so all you have to do is sit down and study. You can really save a lot of time when you use this study guide. And you won’t feel like you’re leaving anything out either.

She recounts the step-by-step process of intuition and serendipity that led to her developing unorthodox therapies which finally reversed her irreversible disease and reversed it in others, as well! Grace Halloran is an unstoppable woman!

Her early years, however, hardly foreshadowed what she was later to become. She was a military brat, an angry street-kid; rebellious, unsettled; a high-school dropout. By the time she reached eighteen, she was in Federal prison.

Today, she has become known internationally through her lecturers and seminars on eye health. Her unorthodox views and methods for improving eyesight have revolutionized the lives of people worldwide who are afflicted with the incurable, degenerative eye disease Retinitis Pigmentosa (RP).

Two major events brought focus to Grace's adult life. One was when her newborn daughter was taken from her and put up for adoption, as a condition of her parole. The other was her being informed, in her early twenties, that she and her young son were going blind from RP. Though she was told nothing could be done--the disease was known to be irreversible--Grace simply didn't believe it.

Determined to do what everyone said was impossible, she undertook a long-range process of informal study and experiment which led to her celebrated program of eye health, improved vision for many to whom the medical community offered no hope, and the founding of her nonprofit Center for Eye Health Education in Northern California. Her inspiring new autobiography, Amazing Grace, has drawn widespread praise, including enthusiastic endorsement from Willie Brown, Speaker of the California Assembly (whom she helped with his career-threatening vision problems).

But in keeping with the flavor of her whole life, none of Grace's accomplishments came easily. (Much of Amazing Grace was written while she sat in front of a computer screen that displayed her words in huge, oversize type she could see with her reduced vision. While she was writing it, she took a fall down some stairs in a Los Angeles apartment and broke her back. Learn to master postflop play

Playing postflop is one of the most difficult aspects of poker. If the 5 community cards are dealt in Hold’Em, there are no less than 2,118,760 possible boards that go with one hand. That goes to show how incredibly complex postflop play really is.

About the Author

Professor Gopalaswamy Ramesh has 30 years of international experience and is an independent consultant and Adjunct Professor at the International Institute of Information Technology Bangalore (IIIT-B), SSN School of Management and Computer Applications, Chennai, and Amrita School of Business, Coimbatore. He has also taught at the Indian Institute of Management Bangalore; Anna University, Chennai; Great Lakes Institute of Management, Chennai, and XLRI Jamshedpur. His vast industry experience covers both India and abroad. He played a key role in the establishment of Oracle India Development Center and was its former Senior Director. He is the author of the National Award�winning book Managing Global Software Projects, and has also authored Software Testing Principles and Practices and Software Maintenance. Two of these books have also been translated into Chinese. His most recent book is The ACE of Soft Skills: Attitude, Communication and Etiquette for Success. He currently offers consultancy services in the areas of project management and soft skills to several companies in India and abroad. He holds an MS in engineering management from Stanford University, California; MS in computer science from IIT Madras and BE from IISc Bangalore.

Mahadevan Ramesh graduated from IIT Kanpur (five-year integrated MSc degree in Physics) and earned a PhD (Physics) from the Ohio State University, USA. Following a research stint in the electrical and computer engineering department in Carnegie Mellon University, Pittsburgh, he worked for Storage Technology Corporation (now a part of Sun Microsystems/Oracle), and for Maxtor Corporation (now a part of Seagate Technologies) at Colorado, USA. He held leadership positions in global product teams and spent considerable time on the factory floor in Singapore, working with stakeholders from many different cultures, and learnt first hand the importance of soft skills. A welcome addition to my bookshelf

This is a very well-written examination of the initial cultural context of the Eden story. Although this entails a close study of the Hebrew words, the book remains accessible to those with little to no knowledge of Hebrew. There's also plenty of interesting theories and accompanying compelling evidence that may surprise even those with decent knowledge of ancient near eastern culture and Semitic etymology. I found the explanation and re-interpretation of the word commonly read as "rib" to be particularly enlightening. Throughout it all, the text is straightforward and often quite amusing. If you're interested in biblical history or Israelite culture at all, I highly recommend this book.

First rate, and thorough

I have been "bedeviled" for decades by the traditional reading of original sin as stemming from the Garden. Professor Zevit, all in good time, addresses that reading, and in a thorough---and greatly entertaining---way, demolishes it. Much else about this famous section of Torah is also addressed, and again often in surprising ways. A great read, overall, by a first-rate scholar.

A superb, nuanced, and strikingly insightful exposition of a Biblical story (Adam & Eve) that we believe we all know so well that we don't even think about the assumptions underlying out beliefs. He balances, successfully, strictly linguistic analyses with broader views of the theological implications of his careful linguistic examinations. It's eye-opening, and appears well balanced between the interests of the scholar and the non-expert.

Must Read For Any Student of Modern Brazilian Jiu Jitsu

This is a rare and candid glimpse behind the scenes of one of BJJ's most creative and accomplished instructors. It will be especially interesting to anyone contemplating the path of teaching this art (or any martial art, really) for a living.

Most people know Professor Dean as a highly accomplished martial artist, with black belts in BJJ, Judo, and other Japanese jiu jitsu styles. This book not only tells some of that very interesting story, but offers a look into the other facets of his life, particularly his numerous creative pursuits. The reader will quickly understand that Roy's artistry extends well beyond the martial domain. With a background as a professional audio and visual artists, it is no mystery why his DVDs were so refreshingly watchable and broke new ground in the BJJ instructional circles. I don't think it is an exaggeration to say that Roy's work in BJJ instructional material forever changed the landscape of that genre.

As mentioned above, this book should be especially interesting to those who desire to pursue a career as a martial arts instructor. Roy's story highlights many of the unique and often unforeseen challenges involved in making a living teaching BJJ. One would be well served to read this book and learn from the very unique perspective offered in it.

GREAT CONTENT AND GREAT STORY. EDITING NEEDS WORK.

I've been a "fan" of Roy Dean for years for most of the reasons put forth in the forward to his book. My own martial arts path, though not nearly as concentrated as Roy's, has taken me from the early 1980s to now, from Judo to Tae Kwon Do, to Kickboxing, to Wrestling, and finally to Brazilian Jiu Jitsu. I have just read the teaser chapter available online, and in the interest of making an honest review of Roy's excellent story, I can't help but point out the number of grammatical errors. Most people won't notice the erroneous uses of the contraction "it is" (it's) instead of the proper pronoun "its", nor likewise the mistaken use of "too" instead of "to", but for the story of a man whose life has been spent in the pursuit of excellence, it is somewhat of a stain. Again, content-wise, I love it. But, just as the oh-so-very-true saying about competition ruthlessly exposing the holes in your game (and I still get queasy-nauseated at tournaments), I guess being published does the same :-) Keep up the great works Roy, you are an inspiration!

but couldn't wait to recommend it to friends

I am almost done with the latest book by Roy Dean, but couldn't wait to recommend it to friends. I was deeply moved by the Martial Apprentice and his new release Becoming the Black Belt, is absolutely beautiful. The foreword by Nicolas Gregoriades was amazing on its own and I can not think of a more fitting compliment to one another.
Mr. Dean' written work is hypnotic and meditative, paralleling his presence on the tatamis. He gracefully describes many aspects of his life that have shaped his vision and practice. With eloquence and respect he even addresses religion and cultural practice. That chapter alone was worth the price of the download.
There is no prerequisite training for this book. One does not need a working knowledge of jiujitisu, judo, jujutsu, or any martial art to appreciate the text. This thoughtful work by a top practitioner is motivating and inspiring to say the least.
