He is a certified Project Management Professional (PMI-PMP)(R), Risk Management Professional (PMI-RMP)(R), and Agile Certified Practitioner (PMI-ACP)(R). He is also a Certified Manager of Quality/Organizational Excellence (CMQ/OE)(R) and a Certified ScrumMaster (CSM)(R). Dan is a professor at Northwest University for both undergraduate- and graduate-level business programs. His focus is project management, entrepreneurship, and financial management. He is also a project manager trainer for Green River College and Bellevue College.

A good source but not enough to pass the exam

I purchased the Kindle version of this book and used it as a review book after reading other sources and I passed the exam from the first try. This book concludes all the risk management processes and highlights many important concepts, but I believe this book is not enough if you want to be confident in the exam. I will give this book 4 stars because it’s a very old version (not according to the PMBOK latest edition) and requires an additional revisions.

Just Passed the PMI-RMP Certification

This book explains more detail about the Risk Management related to the exam. The very good of this book is how it explains the risk responses in graph and makes easier to understand and memorize the risk responses for positive and negative risks.
Regarding the exams, among three books I used to help me pass the exam (Risk Management Tricks of the Trade for Project Managers + PMI-RMP Exam Prep Guide by Rita Mulcahy and Study Guide For the PMI Risk Management Professional ® Exam), the practice questions more pooped up on the exam.
I read the book cover to cover twice just to help me more understand about the Risk Management based on PMI perspective. Thanks god, I just passed the exam two days ago on my first attempt just like my PMP.
My advice for the PMI-RMP candidates, it's easier to understand and pass the RMP exam if you understand the Project Management concept. Because Risk Management has relation with the communication management, time and cost management as well as the procurement management. As long as you understand the concept, you can pass the exam.
However, this book does not explain more detail about the risk governance. So you have to have additional reference to understand the risk governance.

Passed on the first try

This book covers the content in the PMI-RMP exam perfectly. I used another study guide and all of the PMI reference materials but I think if you use this one book and the PMBOK and study for a week or two you will pass the test. If you get 80% on the final test in this book you should do great. I highly recommend this book!
